General Terms and Conditions
1. General
These terms and conditions apply to the artworks, commissions, workshops, and orders placed with Fabienne Verhulsel, unless otherwise agreed in writing. By placing an order or registering, you agree to these terms and conditions.
2. Prices and Payment
I am a small business operating under the VAT exemption scheme; therefore, no VAT is charged.
Custom Work
For commissioned work, a 30% deposit is required upon acceptance of the quote. The remaining amount must be paid before delivery. Payment is made via bank transfer unless otherwise agreed.
Workshops
Registration for a workshop is only final after full payment of the registration fee.
Online Store Orders
You can only place orders directly through my webshop for shipping within Belgium, as it only allows Belgian shipping rates. In the online store, you can safely pay via Bancontact or PayPal, unless otherwise agreed. Your order will be processed upon receipt of payment.
Invoice
Invoices are not included by default. If you would like to receive an invoice, please mention this when placing your order.
3. Ordering
By placing an order, you agree to these General Terms and Conditions.
Custom Work
For custom work, we discuss your wishes and expectations beforehand. Based on this, you will receive a personalized price quote. Once accepted, a 30% deposit is requested, after which I will start creating your unique piece. Minor adjustments can be made afterward in consultation. Please note that major changes may incur additional costs.
Online Store Orders
Your order in the online store will be processed upon receipt of payment. Once the order is processed, you will receive a confirmation email. All images and product details are for reference only. Products may vary slightly. If the product does not meet your expectations, you may return it (see section 4). However, this cannot serve as a basis for filing a claim.
4. Shipping and delivery
Currently, my online store only ships within Belgium. Do you live abroad and would still like to place an order? Feel free to contact me via my contactpage — and we'll explore the possibilities together.

Within Belgium: €6.85
Outside Belgium: shipping costs available upon request
When will my order be shipped?
After receiving your order, the item will be shipped within 7 calendar days. As a small solo business, I do not offer 24-hour service like larger companies. During school holidays, shipments are made only once per week.
If you need your items sooner, please contact me at art@fabienneverhulsel.com to discuss what's possible.
How will my order be packaged?
With care! I pack everything securely. Any damage during transport is the responsibility of the courier.
Can I pick up my order?
Yes, that is possible. You will receive all practical information by email. Pick-up is by appointment only.
What if my order hasn't arrived after 2 weeks?
Please contact me so I can investigate further.
5. Cancellation and refunds
Can I cancel or return a custom-made work?
No, custom work is personal and cannot be returned or refunded, unless there is a clear defect. In that case, we will work together to find a solution.
Can I return an online store order?
Yes, within 14 days of receipt. Please email me at art@fabienneverhulsel.com with the reason for the return, your order number, and your bank account details. Return the order within 14 days in impeccable condition and in its original packaging to:
Fabienne Verhulsel, Ogezlaan 2 bus 2, 2500 Lier, Belgium.
Once I receive the returned item, I will refund the purchase amount. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer.
Can I cancel a workshop?
No, but you may have someone else attend in your place. If I cancel a workshop, you will receive a full refund of the registration fee.
6. Ownership and reproduction
The copyright of all artworks and designs remains with the creator, unless otherwise agreed in writing. Reproduction, publication, or commercial use without permission is not allowed. Images of the work may be used for promotional purposes unless the client explicitly objects.
7. Privacy
Personal data collected during orders or registrations is used solely for communication related to the artwork or workshop and will not be shared with third parties. Your data is handled with care and respect, in accordance with applicable privacy laws.
8. Intellectual property of the wensite
All content on this website—including texts, photos, images, logos, and designs—is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. These remain the property of Fabienne Verhulsel unless otherwise stated.
Nothing on this site may be copied, reproduced, or used in any way without prior written permission.
You may view the information on this site and download or share it for personal or educational use, provided the source is clearly indicated.

1. Do you also create commissioned work?
Yes, absolutely, I'd love to! On my "custom work page' you can find examples and more information about the process. Every commissioned piece starts with an exploratory conversation where we discuss your wishes and ideas. This way, we create something unique that truly fits you.
2. How long does it take for a custom piece to be completed?
The timeframe varies depending on the project, its size, complexity, and my schedule. I always keep you updated on the progress so there are no surprises. Together, we can agree on a realistic timeline that fits your wishes and my planning.
3. How much does a commissioned artwork cost?
The price depends on the type of artwork, the materials, the complexity, and the size. After our initial conversation, I can provide an estimate. I always aim to be transparent about the costs so there are no surprises. Together, we will discuss what best suits your wishes, ensuring everything is clear before we start.
4. How should I pay?
Payment can be made via bank transfer. For commissioned work, I usually request a 30% deposit at the start of the project, with the remaining balance due before delivery. I am a small business under the VAT exemption scheme, so no VAT is charged. Once we agree, I will send you the payment instructions. After payment, you will receive proof of payment, and if desired, I can also issue an invoice.

Yes, absolutely!

2. Can I see your independent work in person first?
I post updates about my exhibitions on my website and social media.
Would you like to see a specific piece up close? Feel free to send me an email, and we'll see together what's possible.
3. Do you also collaborate with others?
Yes, at the moment I collaborate, among others, with my gallery partner ART-UUR in Lier. I am always open to collaborations that place my work in new contexts and can reach more people.
